MEPI was created in 2007, by academic partners from Toulouse University, as well as local industrial actors like SANOFI, Pierre FABRE laboratories, ARIANEGROUP, GIVAUDAN, pushed by a regional brain storming on future chemistry.
MEPI is promoting eco-friendly & cost competitive innovative processes enabling a short cut of traditional sourcing routes, and return of local manufactures.
MEPI is operating from laboratory to industrial scale, offering:
- Optimization of production via eco-friendly products (using renewable ressources as often as possible),
- Design of cleaner and safer processes,
- Energy saving,
- Monitoring the quality of the chemical reaction with adequate in-line analytic tools.
